Privacy policy

This policy explains how Eureka Studios, Inc. (“Eureka”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit eurekastudios.io or get in touch with us. We are the controller of the information described here.

It covers this website only. Our games, such as Danfo Run at danforun.com, have their own privacy notices. When we run games inside a partner’s app, how player data is handled is set out in that partner’s privacy notice and our written agreement with them.

Information you give us. When you book a demo or contact us, we receive what you choose to share: your name, company, work email, the kind of organisation you are, the product you are interested in, a rough size of your user base and your message. If you email us or apply for a job, we receive the contents of your email and anything you attach, such as a CV or portfolio.

Information collected automatically. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when pages are requested: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages people visit, how they arrived, roughly where they are (country and city), the device and browser they use, and actions such as scrolling, clicking links and sending the demo form. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) only if you click “Accept” in our cookie bar. If you decline or have not chosen, no analytics cookies are set and Google receives only limited, cookieless signals that do not identify you or your device across visits. We do not use advertising features, Google signals or ad personalisation, and we do not send Google your name, email or anything you type into our forms. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We also store your choice in your browser so we do not ask again.

We use personal information to:

• reply to your enquiry and arrange demos, pilots and partnerships;
• prepare and manage agreements with partners, brands and agencies;
• consider job applications;
• understand how the website is used and improve it;
• keep the website secure and working properly;
• meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similar effects on you.

Where data protection laws such as the EU and UK GDPR or the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 apply, we rely on:

• Legitimate interests, to respond to business enquiries, develop partnerships and protect the website;
• Steps before a contract, when you ask us about a pilot or partnership, or apply for a role;
• Legal obligation, where we must keep or share information by law;
• Consent, where we ask for it: for analytics cookies, and for example to keep a job application on file for future roles. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We share personal information only with providers that help us run the business, under contracts that protect it:

• Vercel, which hosts this website;
• Namecheap (Private Email), which provides our email;
• Cloudflare, which provides our domain name service;
• Google (Google Analytics), which measures how the website is used;
• Formspree, which receives the demo requests sent through our contact form.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, in which case the new owner would be bound by this policy.

We are a US company working with partners in Africa and elsewhere, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information out of the EU, UK or Nigeria, we use safeguards recognised by those laws, such as standard contractual clauses.

• Enquiries and business correspondence: up to 24 months after our last contact, or longer if we enter into an agreement with you.
• Job applications: up to 12 months after the role is filled, unless you agree to us keeping them longer.
• Google Analytics data: 14 months, after which Google deletes it.
• Hosting logs: for the short periods set by our hosting provider.

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to give you a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To make a request, email hello@eurekastudios.io. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, the authority in your EU country or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This website is for businesses and job seekers and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 through it. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
